ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. On 10th February 2021, TERI School of Advanced Studies and Emerson Electric Co. Pvt (I) Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish research collaboration between TERI SAS and Emerson by setting up an Emerson Environmental Sustainability Center of Excellence. The MoU aims at creating unique competency, which could be a differentiator in the industry/academia and facilitate research collaboration & industry-institute interaction between TERI SAS and Emerson which would provide inputs for policy makers and regulators.
2. TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi and National Centre for Policy Research (NCPR), Afghanistan in collaboration with the Parliament of Afghanistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed in a ceremony held online on 12th July 2021. The MoU was signed with an objective to promote the exchange of multicultural practices and value-based education through research and capacity building programs.
3. TERI SAS organized a Management Development Program (MDP) between 9th to 30th October. The MDP was organized by the Department of Business Sustainability.
4. The 14th Convocation ceremony of the TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) was held on 8th December 2021 at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre (IHC), Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Professor Krishnaswamy VijayRaghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India was the Chief Guest for this august occasion. Prof. VijayRaghavan is also the Chairperson of the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology & Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). In this year’s Convocation ceremony, a total of 18 PhDs and 216 Master’s degrees were awarded to the students.
5. On 17th December 2021, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Is signed between TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi and Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA) on Academic and Research Collaboration. The MoU aims to design, develop and run a special course to encourage entrepreneurship in the areas of Waste Management in different Cities of India.
1. EKI-Energy Services Limited and TERI SAS signed an MoU to cooperate in areas of curriculum design, industrial training and visits, placement of students, R&D, skill development programme, and guest lectures, etc. on 13th February 2020.
2. Linnaeus University, Sweden and TERI SAS signed an MoU and agreed to formalize cooperation in areas of academic cooperation, faculty visit and exchanges, student visits and admin staff exchanges etc. on 14th February 2020.
3. Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. launched a Policy Case Competition titled ‘Mahindra Neeti Manthan’ at TERI SAS and an MOU was also signed to formalize a partnership between Mahindra & Mahindra and TERI SAS in a wide set of activities including industry-oriented curriculum design, training, visits, internship and placement, R&D and skill development among others on 20th February 2020.
4. Humboldt University, Berlin and TERI SAS formalized an MoU to develop academic and educational cooperation, conduct joint research, organisation of lectures, symposia and exchange of researchers, students and faculty etc. on 25th February 2020.
5. TERI SAS and NISM organized International Conference on Business Economics and Sustainable Development in NISM campus, Patalaganga, Maharashtra, on 2nd and 3rd March, 2020.
6. A webinar was organized on ‘Pursuing LL.M. from India & How to opt for Specialisation’ on 20th May 2020.
7. TERI SAS and Google Earth Education organised a 'Google Earth Sustainability Program for Teachers' to educate them in a slew of skills about Google tools to make their teaching more effective from 2nd June to 23rd June 2020.
8. Dr. Kamna Sachdeva, HOD & Associate Professor Department of Energy and Environment, TERI SAS, New Delhi was one of the panelists for the National Webinar on Our Environment and COVID-19 organized by the Eco Club 'Paritantra' at Acharya Narendra Dev College, the University of Delhi held on 5th June, 2020.
9. A webinar was organized on ‘Future pathways in Geoinformatics : In Remote Sensing & Web GIS’ on 18th June 2020.
10. Prof. Manipadma Datta, Vice-Chancellor, TERI SAS spoke on 'Higher Education Challenges: In Search of a Sustainable System', especially in the wake of the challenges posed by COVID-19 on 13th July 2020.
11. TERI SAS organized a PPSD Valedictory Discussion on 'Making Things Happen in the Government: Ethical Dilemmas of a Civil Servant' on 28th July, 2020.
12. Canvest Infracapital Inc., Canada and TERI SAS formalized an MoU to short-term education programs, joint projects, data analytics and technology entrepreneurship incubation centre etc. on 30th September 2020.
13. Dr Deepty Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Energy and Environment, TERI SAS discussed 'Sustainable Mobility amid the COVID-19 Pandemic: Potential Risks and Opportunities' in Plant Talks with Dr Simi Mehta on October 16, 2020.
14. DHAN Academy, Tamil Nadu and TERI SAS signed an MoU to cooperate and set up partnership in areas such as research activities, joint experimentation, field studies, documentation, capacity building, etc. on 16th October 2020.
15. To commemorate 70 years of the adoption of the Constitution of India and celebrate 71st Constitution Day, TERI SAS organised an expert lecture on 26th November 2020
16. TERI SAS held its 13th Convocation on 8th December 2020. Due to COVID-19 pandemic and the protocols implemented by the government, this year’s Convocation ceremony was held online including an FB live.
